Dear MGMA Utah friends,
There is a powerful quote from a little friend we all know which says:
Ten years ago, I was invited to attend the membership luncheon with a former mentor of mine. Today, I am just as excited about MGMA as I was that very first meeting and now passionate describes how I feel about this amazing organization.
In my time with MGMA Utah, I have been one of the lucky ones to have volunteered on the conference committee every year but one. I have been lucky enough to have experienced some exceptional speakers on both a local and national level through conferences and various leadership luncheons. I have been lucky to sit in rooms filled with such smart people time and time again. I have been so very lucky to have been part of the board and to get my toes wet as Forum Representative.
With the desire to grow in my career and with encouragement and support, I became a Certified Medical Practice Executive. And now, I am one of the lucky ones to be part of an elite group of less than 1000 out of 40,000 members, to have obtained Fellowship.
My career is now taking me to the great state of Missouri where MGMA has quite the presence with a state board and seven local chapters. Networking has already begun, and I have been given the opportunity to work in an area of healthcare that is brand new to me.
I am so proud to have been a part of this amazing group of individuals and I thank you for allowing me to serve you these past four years.
The connections, the friendships, the collaboration and knowledge is what I am so lucky to have that makes saying goodbye so hard.
